Keep your flame safe.
Six rules that protect you from the most common scams around new tokens.
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. Never share your recovery phrase
No admin, support agent, bot or website ever needs your 12 or 24 recovery words. Anyone who asks for them is trying to empty your wallet.
2. Type addresses yourself
Bookmark launchpads and tools you trust. Scam sites copy the look of real ones and change a single letter in the address.
3. Admins never DM first
Wick admins will never message you first, offer "support", or ask you to "validate", "sync" or "claim" anything. Block and report anyone who does.
4. Read before you sign
Wick itself never asks you to sign anything. On other sites, be careful with unlimited spending approvals or messages you don't understand. When in doubt, reject.
5. Use a separate wallet
Keep one wallet for new tokens with only what you need, and your savings in another.
6. Check the token first
Copycat tokens reuse names and pictures. Compare the full contract address and run it through the Checker before buying.
Remember: blockchain transactions usually can't be reversed. If something feels rushed, stop and ask in the official Telegram.
